Bikes Covered by This Service
Boxed bicycles commonly arrive with the front wheel, handlebar, pedals, saddle or accessories removed for shipping. This service covers standard mechanical setup for customer-supplied adult and children's bikes, including normal alignment and installation of the parts that were removed for transport.
E-bikes can also be assembled mechanically, but battery, motor and controller diagnostics are outside ordinary bike assembly. Existing bicycle repair and full tune-ups are separate from putting a new or disassembled bike together.
Unboxing and Damage Check
Before assembly, inspect the frame, fork, wheels and major components for visible shipping damage. Bent derailleur hangers, cracked frames or damaged wheel rims should be documented before hardware is tightened around them.
Keep all reflectors, pedals, manuals and accessory bags with the bicycle. Packaging often contains small spacers or parts that are easy to discard accidentally, especially around disc brakes and wheel axles.
Wheels, Bars, Pedals & Saddle
Wheels need to seat correctly in the fork or frame and use the supplied axle or quick-release system. Handlebars should be aligned with the front wheel, while stem bolts are tightened evenly according to the product instructions.
Pedals are side-specific and use opposite thread directions, so forcing the wrong pedal can damage the crank. Saddle height and angle can be set to a neutral starting position, while final personal fit remains the rider's responsibility.
Basic Brake and Drivetrain Setup
After the mechanical parts are installed, the brakes and drivetrain can receive a basic setup check. Brake pads or rotors should not rub severely, and the chain should move through the normal gear range without obvious derailment.
This is assembly-level adjustment, not a full professional tune-up or repair service. If wheels need truing, hydraulic systems leak or drivetrain components are damaged, that work should be treated separately.
Accessories & Final Fit Boundary
Supplied reflectors, kickstands, baskets or simple accessories can be installed when they are part of the product package. Lights and electronic accessories should follow their own instructions without modifying bicycle wiring beyond normal connections.
The final check confirms that the bicycle is assembled and basic controls respond. It does not certify race fit, advanced suspension setup or medical suitability for a rider.
FAQ
Does bike assembly include a full tune-up?
No. It covers normal setup of a boxed or disassembled bicycle.
Are e-bikes included?
Mechanical assembly can be scoped, but motor and battery diagnostics are separate.
Why are pedals different left and right?
The threads differ, so correct orientation is important to avoid crank damage.
