Artwork & Wall Decor Installation
This service covers framed pictures, mirrors and decorative wall pieces where the main task is planning position and attaching the item securely to an appropriate wall surface. A single piece can be simple, while a large gallery wall benefits from more deliberate layout before the first hole is made.
TV mounting, shelving and curtain rods have their own services because those installations use different brackets, loads and clearances. Very heavy specialty artwork may also need a mounting system beyond ordinary picture hanging.
Layout and Height Planning
Before drilling, decide the relationship between the artwork and nearby furniture, doors, trim or other pieces. Centering on a wall is not always the same as centering above a sofa or console, so the visual reference should be agreed first.
For several items, paper templates or measured marks can help establish spacing and alignment. Final height can be chosen around the room, furniture and customer preference rather than one universal rule.
Wall Materials and Anchor Choice
Drywall, plaster, masonry and wood paneling require different attachment methods. The item's weight and hanger style also influence whether a small hook, wall anchor or structural fastener is appropriate.
Unknown walls should not be treated as identical simply because the surface looks smooth. If a piece is unusually heavy, the supporting structure should be understood before hanging rather than relying on a generic anchor.
Gallery Walls and Multi-Item Spacing
A gallery wall works best when the grouping is planned as a whole. Consistent gaps, overall dimensions and the visual center should be established before individual hooks are installed. That reduces repeated holes from adjusting one frame at a time.
If the customer already has a preferred layout, photos or a floor mockup can guide the placement. The installation can follow that plan while still checking alignment on the wall.
Heavy or Fragile Item Boundaries
Large mirrors, glass-fronted artwork and valuable pieces need careful handling and may require more than one mounting point. Provide the approximate dimensions and weight before the appointment when possible.
Art conservation, custom security hardware and specialized museum mounting are separate from normal household hanging and may require a specialist with the appropriate experience.
