Dressers, Armoires & Wardrobes
This service covers freestanding bedroom storage furniture with drawers, doors, shelves or hanging rails. Dressers are usually wider and lower, while wardrobes and armoires can be much taller and may combine drawers with enclosed hanging space.
Closet System Installation is a different service because it mounts a storage system to the room itself. Custom shelving and built-ins also remain separate. Dresser & Wardrobe Assembly is limited to customer-supplied freestanding furniture.
Case and Back-Panel Assembly
The main case needs to stay square so drawers and doors align later. Side panels, fixed shelves, top and bottom pieces should be checked for orientation before hardware is tightened, especially on furniture with finished edges on only one side.
Back panels often lock the case into square. Fastening the back while the cabinet is twisted can create drawer and door problems that no hinge adjustment will fully correct. Alignment should therefore happen before the back is completed.
Drawers, Doors & Rails
Drawer slides should be matched to the correct side and height so the drawers sit evenly in the case. Wardrobe doors may use concealed hinges that allow small alignment corrections, and hanging rails need secure supports at both ends.
If a drawer front or door is warped, adjustment may improve the appearance but cannot repair the panel itself. Product damage should be documented rather than hidden by pushing hinges or slides beyond their normal range.
Tall-Furniture Anti-Tip Planning
Tall wardrobes and narrow dressers can become unstable when loaded or when several drawers are extended. Manufacturer-supplied anti-tip hardware should be treated as part of the placement plan where required, not as an optional cosmetic accessory.
The final wall location should be checked for baseboards, outlets and a suitable attachment surface. If structural support is not available at the intended anchor point, that condition should be identified instead of using an unsuitable generic fastener.
Placement and Alignment
Before the furniture is fully loaded, confirm that it sits level enough for doors and drawers to operate normally. Wardrobe doors need room to swing, and drawers need clearance from beds or nearby walls. Large units may be difficult to rotate after assembly, so orientation should be decided early.
The final check can include shelf positions, hanging rails and anti-tip attachment, but it does not include closet redesign or wall-mounted cabinetry. Those broader storage projects should use their dedicated services.
