Seasonal Lighting Projects
Seasonal lighting is temporary by design and can include roofline strings, wreaths, tree lighting, pathway displays and other holiday decorations. The project may use customer-owned lights or a separately arranged service-supplied system.
This service stays distinct from Permanent Outdoor Lighting. Temporary clips, cords and seasonal removal create a different customer need from year-round track systems.
Roofline, Tree & Landscape Displays
Roofline lighting needs a consistent path and mounting method that does not damage shingles, gutters or trim. Trees and shrubs require enough slack and placement to account for branch movement without wrapping wires too tightly.
Landscape displays should also leave normal paths and driveways usable. The goal is a coordinated temporary display rather than covering every visible surface with power cords.
Customer-Supplied vs Service-Supplied Lights
If the customer supplies lights, the strings, clips and extension components should be checked for visible damage and compatibility before installation. Mixed products can have different connector styles and electrical limits.
If lights are supplied for the project, confirm whether they remain with the customer after removal or are provided only for the season. Any rental or storage arrangement should be agreed before installation.
Power, Timers and Weather Exposure
Outdoor-rated products and connections should be used for weather-exposed locations, with power arranged according to the equipment requirements. Timers can automate the display when they are compatible with the load.
New permanent circuits or unsafe extension arrangements should not be improvised for a seasonal project. Electrical capacity and outdoor receptacle conditions may need qualified review.
Removal & Storage Boundaries
Seasonal scope should specify whether removal is included and who stores the lights after removal. Careful removal helps preserve clips, cords and labeled sections for the next season.
Storage bins can be labeled by roofline or tree area so future installation is more efficient. Disposal of failed products should also be confirmed rather than assumed.
Permanent-Lighting Alternative
For customers who repeat large seasonal displays each year, permanent roofline lighting may be worth comparing. It changes the project from annual installation/removal to a fixed system with programmable scenes.
The permanent system has its own installation service and power/controller requirements. This service does not treat it as the same service.
