Trampoline Types and Sizes
Residential trampolines can be round, rectangular or specialty shapes and may use metal springs or elastic rods. Most include a safety enclosure, padding and a ladder or accessory kit in addition to the main jumping frame.
Provide the model and size before assembly because a small backyard unit and a large rectangular system require different yard space and handling. Trampoline Repair and Disassembly have separate services for existing equipment.
Yard Placement and Clearance
The selected area should be reasonably level and free from low branches, overhead lines, fences and hard obstacles within the clearance specified by the manufacturer. A trampoline needs more usable space than its frame diameter alone.
Soft or uneven ground can affect how the legs sit. Significant yard grading is separate from assembly and should be addressed before the frame is loaded with the mat and springs.
Frame, Mat and Springs
The metal frame and leg sections should be assembled fully before mat tension is added. Springs or elastic rods need to be installed in a balanced sequence so the mat does not pull the frame sharply to one side.
Spring installation creates stored tension, so the correct tool and sequence matter. Bent frame sections, torn mats or missing springs should be treated as product issues rather than improvised during assembly.
Safety Pads and Enclosure
Pads should cover springs or frame edges as the product intends, and enclosure poles should attach in the correct orientation before the net is tensioned. Net doors and zippers should close normally without pulling one side of the enclosure out of alignment.
Ladders and accessories can be installed after the main system is stable. The presence of an enclosure does not create an independent safety certification beyond the manufacturer's design.
Anchoring Boundary and Final Check
Some trampolines include anchor kits or recommend separate anchoring in exposed locations. The appropriate method depends on soil and the product instructions. Anchoring does not replace the need to follow weather-use guidance, especially during strong winds.
At completion, check frame connections, spring coverage, enclosure attachment and overall stability. The service does not assign its own user weight limit or guarantee safety outside the manufacturer's published instructions.
FAQ
Does the yard need to be level?
It should meet the manufacturer's site requirements; significant unevenness may need separate preparation.
Is anchoring always included?
It depends on the product and site and should be confirmed.
Does this service cover repairs?
Trampoline Repair has its own service.
