Media Furniture Types
Media furniture includes low TV stands, storage consoles, tall entertainment centers and modular units designed around a television, speakers and game or streaming equipment. Some products are simple open shelves, while others add doors, drawers, electric-fireplace inserts or bridge pieces above the TV.
This service is for assembling the furniture. TV & Soundbar Mounting is separate when the television or audio equipment is being attached to a wall, and custom built-in cabinetry belongs under a carpentry scope rather than flat-pack media furniture.
Cabinet, Shelf and Door Assembly
The cabinet body should be assembled square so adjustable shelves, doors and drawers line up later. Entertainment centers can involve several connected boxes, so the order matters: base units may need to be placed first before upper bridge pieces or side towers are connected.
Glass shelves and doors should stay protected until the main frame is stable. Hinges and drawer slides can be adjusted after the unit sits level, while warped or damaged panels should be treated as product issues rather than forced into alignment.
Cable Openings and Equipment Space
Media consoles often include cable holes, ventilation openings and shelf heights intended for electronics. Before final placement, consider the size of receivers, game systems and speakers and whether rear cables can bend without being crushed against the wall.
Assembly can install supplied cable-management panels or clips, but it does not create new outlets or in-wall wiring. If a customer wants hidden power or data, that electrical or low-voltage work should be scoped separately.
Anti-Tip and TV Placement Planning
A tall entertainment center or narrow console may include anti-tip hardware. The final wall, baseboard position and outlet layout should be known before attachment. If the television will sit on the furniture rather than mount to the wall, the stand should be compatible with the unit's dimensions and manufacturer requirements.
The service does not certify the furniture for a TV outside the product's stated rating. If a screen is unusually large or heavy, the customer should confirm compatibility instead of assuming any assembled console can safely support it.
Entertainment-Center Modules
Large systems can include left/right towers, a center console, bridge shelving and decorative trim. Assemble each module square, then connect the system in its final position so small floor or wall variations do not create large gaps between units.
If an electric-fireplace insert is part of the furniture kit, external product installation and normal plug-in setup can be considered where the manufacturer allows it. New wiring, hardwiring or repair of the insert belongs outside normal furniture assembly.
FAQ
Does this include wall-mounting the TV?
No. TV & Soundbar Mounting has its own service.
Can entertainment-center modules be assembled as one project?
Yes, when the complete layout and all boxes are available.
What about an electric fireplace insert?
A supplied plug-in insert can be part of furniture assembly, but electrical modifications or repair are separate.
