Door Hardware We Install
This service covers mechanical door hardware such as knobs, levers, latches, deadbolts, hinges and related components where the door and frame are otherwise suitable. It can be used for replacement hardware, finish upgrades or correcting ordinary alignment issues.
Smart locks have a separate service because they add electronics, batteries and app setup. Full door replacement also remains separate when the slab, jamb or frame is the main problem.
Knobs, Levers and Latches
Replacement handles need to fit the existing bore diameter, door thickness and backset. Many residential locksets use standard dimensions, but older or specialty doors can differ.
The latch should extend smoothly into the strike without the handle being lifted or pushed hard. If the door itself is sagging, hardware replacement alone may not solve the alignment problem.
Deadbolts and Strike Alignment
Deadbolts need enough clearance to extend fully into the strike and jamb. A misaligned strike can make the lock difficult to operate or encourage the user to force the bolt against the frame.
Minor strike adjustment may be part of hardware work, but a badly warped door or damaged jamb belongs under door repair. Changing the lock does not correct every closing problem.
Door Thickness, Bore and Backset
Door thickness and backset determine whether a lockset can be installed without modification. If a new handle uses a different layout from the existing one, enlarging or relocating holes can change the scope.
Before purchasing replacement hardware, compare the product specifications with the existing door. That simple check can prevent arriving with a lock that cannot fit the current preparation.
Hinges and Related Hardware
Loose or worn hinges can contribute to a door rubbing the frame or failing to latch. Screws, hinge leaves and alignment can be checked as part of a hardware project when the jamb remains sound.
Closers, stops and other accessories may also be included when they are ordinary mechanical components. More extensive door-frame repair belongs on the general door service.
Smart-Lock Boundary
Electronic locks, keypads and connected deadbolts use a different service because they can require batteries, app pairing, Wi-Fi or hub compatibility. Mechanical preparation still matters, but the customer need includes device setup.
Use Smart Home Security & Lock Installation when the project is an electronic lock rather than a standard knob, lever or deadbolt.
