New Interior Wall Scope
This service covers adding or finishing a non-specialty interior partition where the project involves more than hanging drywall alone. It can include layout, light framing, drywall and trim coordination when the wall is not a major structural element.
Load-bearing changes and larger remodels require a different level of design and should not be implied by a general wall-installation service.
Layout & Openings
Wall location should consider room function, door openings, furniture and circulation. A new partition can change light, access and how existing flooring or trim terminates.
Door size and swing should be decided before framing so the opening is built correctly.
Framing/Utility Conditions
Framing should align with the existing ceiling and floor structure, while hidden electrical, plumbing or HVAC components can affect where the wall can go.
Relocating utilities is separate regulated work and should be coordinated rather than cut or covered during wall construction.
Drywall & Finish
Once framing is ready and utilities are complete, drywall can be installed, taped, finished and prepared for paint. The desired texture or smooth finish should be known before final coats.
Painting can be included separately depending on the project scope.
Door/Trim Coordination
New walls often need baseboard, casing and a door. Those finish components should align with the surrounding room so the addition does not look disconnected.
Custom trim or unusual door systems can route to the Carpentry or Doors categories.
Structural/Permit Boundary
Any load-bearing modification, fire-rated assembly or permit requirement should be identified for the actual project. Engineering and approval services are not included by default.
This service remains for ordinary interior wall work within a properly defined scope.
FAQ
Is this the same as drywall installation?
No. It can include the partition and finishes, not just board.
Can a load-bearing wall be changed?
That requires appropriate structural planning and is not assumed here.
Are doors included?
They can be part of the project when specified.
