Shower Remodel Scope
A shower remodel coordinates several layers: the base or pan, drain, waterproofing, wall finish, fixtures and enclosure. It is a broader project than replacing one tile or installing a new shower door.
Focused Shower Pan and Shower Tile services remain available when only one component is being changed.
Pan/Drain
The shower base requires support appropriate to the product and substrate, along with a drain location compatible with the planned shower. Moving the drain can add plumbing work, while replacing a pan in the same footprint may be simpler.
Confirm whether the existing subfloor and drain remain serviceable before the new shower base is selected and installed.
Waterproofing/Substrate
Tile or wall panels depend on a sound wet-area substrate and waterproofing system. Surface grout is not the primary waterproof barrier.
Existing leaks or damaged backer should be resolved before a new finish is installed.
Tile/Niches/Bench
Tile layout can include niches, benches and accent areas. Those details should be planned before waterproofing penetrations and tile cuts are finalized.
Large-format tile, mosaics and specialty trims create different substrate and layout needs.
Enclosure
Glass doors or other enclosures need the finished opening dimensions and suitable wall support. Tub Enclosure Installation is separate for tub-shower systems, while this service coordinates a shower enclosure inside the remodel.
Custom-glass fabrication is a separate scope and is not included unless specifically confirmed.
Valve/Fixture Boundary
Shower valves, heads and controls can require plumbing modification, especially when locations change. That work must be handled by the appropriate qualified trade.
Fixture selection can be coordinated with the shower remodel, while valve, drain and other plumbing work should be handled within the appropriate qualified scope.
Focused-Service vs Full Shower Remodel
Use a focused service when the pan, grout, tile or enclosure is the only problem and the wet-area system remains sound. Use Shower Remodeling when several layers or components are being replaced together.
That distinction prevents every small repair from becoming a full renovation.
